Artificial Intelligence and Robotics are to be the greatest inventions to boom the technology and other industry in the coming years. Even technologists suspect that robotics, genetic engineering, and nanotech could threaten humans as an endangered species.

Artificial intelligence is the main component of the next generation of technology for its innovative capabilities. For instance, computer vision, natural language processing, advanced analytics, providing data-driven solutions for schools and businesses, and evolving economic systems.

Although, artificial intelligence benefits are enormously high. However, the negative effects of artificial intelligence and challenges also need to be concerned. This is why identification of the challenges and working towards the solution can aid to accelerate artificial intelligence’s expeditious growth.

1. Unemployment Crises

Serious concerns related to artificial intelligence are emerging. It is to be predicted that advancing technology could disrupt jobs and create long-term structural unemployment.

Examples of artificial intelligence in everyday life that suppose to cause job emergencies are healthcare, transportation, teaching, courier, information technology, etc.

On the one hand, no one can deny artificial intelligence benefits and perks in our job sector. As it produces exciting implications in order to relieve the human job burden. However, oppositely, it will be the reason for massive unemployment.

Now, the biggest challenge is to tackle it proactively in such a way that it will not give rise to unemployment. Failure to do so will result in societal turbulence, suicide and murder rates, and a rise in crimes.

2. The Bias Issue

The advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence depend on the amount of data they are trained on. Take the example of a good AI system, it has the tendency to create quality data.

Unfortunately, the true image is the opposite of that. The real-life data collected by the organization is weak and even does not have any value of its own. The result is clear, they are unfair.

The common interest based on demographic features such as religion, ethnicity, gender, community, is the culprit. How can someone obtain real data, if unbiased terminologies are not to be focused on?

Thus, to control these problems effectively, some correct algorithms must be defined in order to get a real change.

3. The Search for AI Talents

Artificial Intelligence is tremendously growing, hence the amount of global investment into AI. Keeping this into consideration, if we look back into the past years, near about 14 most advanced economies reserved over $86 billion for AI programs.

The expanding demand for AI indicates an increase in the value of AI tech developers. Organizations are thoughtfully integrating artificial intelligence. Contrastingly, there is a significant talent shortage in AI.

Professionals who are already qualified and be able to design fully- functioning systems are still lacking. Necessary training must be financed by firms and serious efforts require to train professionals that can build and deploy AI-driven systems.

4. Security Flaws

Cyber security spending billions by 2022 including investing in artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. The FY2017 budget requested over $19 billion for cybersecurity.

However, despite all the heavy investment, hackers are turning the tables and manipulating the existing system.

Almost all organizations depend on AI-based solutions to gain better machine-learning-based approaches to enhance network security. To achieve this, billions spend on technology. After all the arrangements still organizations become the victim when incidents occur.

Security is very essential to protect the business in every data-driven organization. Organizations should leverage their security solutions to protect confidential information, explore new ways to implement the technology, and correct their system.

Wrapping Things Up

It is obvious that artificial intelligence has enormous benefits and the list goes on. It provides several solutions and services to software and different elements of IT. But, this is also true that artificial intelligence comes across many challenges.

Therefore, several questions run through someone’s mind related to AI. Is this a smart choice or a bad one? Should we implement artificial intelligence in everyday life? Would the world turn into an evil place with AI?

Although these challenges look very upsetting to mankind, by following a proactive approach we can come out with all the challenges effectively.
